Concerned, the townspeople set out to investigate the cause, eventually discovering a massive rockslide upstream blocking the river’s flow. Despite their best efforts, the river remained dammed, and they feared for the village’s future.

Reading in the Message translation has really brought to life scripture I’ve know my whole life. This part really resonated with me, oftentimes we come to God focusing on ourselves when in reality God wants us to lift our eyes and focus on Him and what He can do. He’s our answer, not the other way around. Today, remember to look to Jesus and know that it’s His hand that does the work in your life, not your own 🙏

My new poem, “Time & Depth.” I wrote this poem as a reflection of my relationship with the Lord and how it has changed over time. I realized that I didn’t longed for it to be like it was. I like how far we’ve come together, through thick or thin, God has proven himself faithful to me. I now realize all along He was building a strong foundation of a relationship together.
