Poem: When You Feel Hopeless to be Healed

It’s not an easy thing,
Wanting to be healed 
When the pain in your life
Points to the opposite of that 

Sometimes I feel like the father with the epileptic son
Who in his desperation
Cried out to Jesus
To help him with his unbelief 

Other times I feel like the woman with the issue of blood 
Who tried doctor after doctor to help her
However instead of giving up,
She reached for the edge of what was in front of her

Or I can feel like Mary and Martha
Who felt like what they have loved died 
But even when they thought death was permanent
They still invited Jesus to the scene 

So when you feel hopeless to be healed
Remember you are not alone
There are lines of Godly people before you
Who felt the same thing

Yet they kept pursuing Jesus 
Despite years of pain, unbelief or death
Because there is only one Healer
And He certainly has the power to resurrect
