Life is like a river
Taking you down the course of life

Bending and curving at all the unexpected places,
and never a straight line.
As you travel along it
It will keep you guessing what is next

Some parts are rocky & rough
Giant rapids making you hold on for dear life
But you keep going down them
Because they will take you to what’s next

Sometimes the river is calm and slow
Where you can just kick back and float
Jump out and swim
Playing around for a while before hopping back into the flow

Life is like a river
Beautiful and gentle yet still a powerful force
All parts wonderful, no matter how different
And all we have to do in this river
Is take each twist and turn
Each rapid or stream 
As they come
Knowing the flow is going to carry you on in life
