Poem: A Light Will Shine

When all looks lost
And the darkness feels like night 
That is the time 
When the light shines the most bright 

When hope feels deferred
And breakthrough feels so far away 
That is the moment 
When night turns to day 

You may have given up 
Thrown in the towel and walked away 
But let me tell you something 
It’s His Word that has the final say 

When light was not known yet 
And darkness filled every chasm 
There the spirit of God hovered 
With a plan we could not even fathom  

So when darkness fills the void 
And we can’t see our way out 
Jesus is writing a bigger story 
To His name brings the glory 

“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.”
